Marvel's Agent Carter, or simply Agent Carter, is an American television series created for ABC by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, inspired by the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger, and the 2013 Marvel One-Shot short film of the same name.[1] It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other television series of the franchise. The series was produced by ABC Studios, Marvel Television, and F&B Fazekas & Butters, with Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, and Chris Dingess serving as showrunners.
Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell, reprising her role from the "Captain America" films) is an unstoppable secret agent for the Strategic Scientific Reserve, dedicated to fighting new atomic threats that have emerged after World War II. After working in New York, Peggy heads across the country to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. As Peggy explores the bright lights of Hollywood and discovers new friends -- and perhaps a new romance -- a sinister threat emerges that could impact everyone she is sworn to protect.
It is a series that is low on CGI but strong on the story. Unlike the regular marvel series it is not concentrating on any super heroes but on the a side character from the movie Captain America, Peggy Carter. Each episodes are having a thrilling plot which clutches the attention of the audience. The direction of the story flow is really promising and mature. The series is also providing an insight into some of the mini characters in the early stages of SHIELD which explains a lot about the Avenger franchise. The direction and acting is also commendable and is not disappointing the viewers.
