Aquaman is a 2018 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Directed by James Wan, with a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall, from a story by Geoff Johns, Wan and Beall, it stars Jason Momoa as the title character, with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman in supporting roles. It is the third live-action theatrical film featuring Aquaman, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017), and the first full-length feature film centered around the character. In Aquaman, Arthur Curry, the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, must step forward to lead his people against his half-brother, Orm, who seeks to unite the seven underwater kingdoms against the surface world.

Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth, the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled by the power-hungry King Orm. With a vast army at his disposal, Orm plans to conquer the remaining oceanic people -- and then the surface world. Standing in his way is Aquaman, Orm's half-human, half-Atlantean brother and true heir to the throne. With help from royal counselor Vulko, Aquaman must retrieve the legendary Trident of Atlan and embrace his destiny as protector of the deep.

The best live action movie ever made by DC. I never thought DC could ever have a fighting chance against MARVEL in the movie field. Aquaman did what Iron Man 1 did for Marvel studio. It is building a strong fanbase and audience for DC movies to guide the studio through its upcoming movie journey of Justice League franchise. The actor Jason is made for the movie and is dawning his role as Aquaman. Now I can’t picture anyone else other than him as Aquaman. I will say it is the best superhero movie made by James Wan and he is making an announcement to the world that he is made for this. In order to experience the magnificence of the visual, one should watch it in IMAX and it is a good Christmas present that DC can give for the world.
