Gifted is a 2017 American drama film directed by Marc Webb and written by Tom Flynn. It stars Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, Lindsay Duncan, Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer. The plot follows an intellectually gifted 7-year-old who becomes the subject of a custody battle between her uncle and grandmother. Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy - his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) - in a coastal town in Florida. Frank's plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old's mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank's formidable mother, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.
It is a perfect feel good movie which sent a message directly to the audience’s heart and leaves them pondering in thoughts for a while. I will categories this one as a beautiful philosophy rather than a movie. Most of the dialogues in the movie feels like the thought of a man who wants to see life differently. There is a real chemistry between Chris Evans and the child actress Mckenna Grace which make the movie more beautiful. In short it is a beautiful creation which discuss about a real world problem in an elite way.
