The Prestige is a 2006 psychological thriller film directed by Christopher Nolan from a screenplay adapted by his brother Jonathan from Christopher Priest's 1995 novel of the same name.The film stars Hugh Jackman as Robert Angier, Christian Bale as Alfred Borden, and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. It also stars Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine, Piper Perabo, Andy Serkis, and Rebecca Hall. The film reunites Nolan with actors Bale and Caine from Batman Begins and returning cinematographer Wally Pfister, production designer Nathan Crowley, and editor Lee Smith.

Period thriller set in Edwardian London where two rival magicians, partners until the tragic death of an assistant during a show, feud bitterly after one of them performs the ultimate magic trick - teleportation. His rival tries desperately to uncover the secret of his routine, experimenting with dangerous new science as his quest takes him to the brink of insanity and jeopardizes the lives of everyone around the pair.

A work by Christopher Nolan. What do you need more than. This is a masterpiece by him in the genre of Mystery and Drama. The plot of the movie is so strong that it will make you a part of it. The direction of the movie is of top notch and I don’t think it can be made any better. To add on to it , there is the real acting geniuses Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. They are controlling the entire show with their screen magic and sometimes you feel like they are a having a competing each other with their acting skills. This well crafted movie is similar to a smart puzzle with clues scattered over it for the audience to have fun with.
