Life As We Know It is a 2010 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Greg Berlanti, starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel. It was released on October 8, 2010, after sneak previews in 811 theaters on October 2, 2010. Filming took place on location, in a house in the wealthy Buckhead area of Atlanta. Holly Berenson's bakery was depicted at Belly General Store in Virginia-Highland, a century-old bungalow-style neighborhood with several small-scale historic retail clusters, a few miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta. Scenes from Eric's workplace were filmed at Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) off Techwood Drive in Atlanta. Filming also took place at Philips Arena.
After a disastrous first date, the only things Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) have in common are mutual dislike and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. When they unexpectedly become her caretakers, Holly and Eric have to put aside their differences and learn to work together for the sake of the child. Juggling competing career and social commitments, Holly and Eric look for common ground while living under the same roof.
This is a movie which is far better than a cliché romantic movie. The story of two people of opposite interests united by a small baby is heart touching and give you a fresh experience. The acting presented by the lead actors is convincing and the touch of reality to the story make it outstanding. Some parts of the story make our eyes filled with tears and will stay in our hearts for a while. The emotions flowing through the film can be felt by everyone and the director is successful in mixing the humour elements perfectly without affecting the beauty of the movie. It is a feel good movie that can be watched by audience of all the age group.
